Why do I even care?

If you don’t care, then why should I? I know I shouldn’t care. I shouldn’t even bother. It’s no damn use. I need to stop giving a shit about people who don’t give a shit about me. It’s not that I don’t want to care, I’m just tired of trying for people who aren’t worth the time and effort.

Most people don’t even care. Or even worse, some people pretend to care and they suck at comforting. Honestly, I don’t want or need anyone to feel bad for me. I don’t even expect them to listen to me or hear me out either. I just want someone who will simply be there for me. I don’t know, I just want a companion.
I gotta stop expecting, wishing , hoping and waiting for things to happen; because in the end it always leads to disappointment.
You wanna know what sucks? When you put so much effort into someone who doesn’t even seem to care about you. It sucks that you’re putting in so much commitment and time into them but all that they’re trying to do is push you away and not care.
